A few weeks ago I tried helping someone in a Audi TT out of some small ruts in the snowy road. He had all of his available traction being wasted with just one wheel spinning out. He was convinced that all four wheels were spinning out and that he was hopelessly stuck and only someone with a truck could tow him out of his predicament, so he told me to go.

I left, giving him a hint that he needs to lightly apply the brakes while on the throttle to engage the rest of his wheels.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the TT use a Haldex AWD system, not Quattro? I have been under the impression that any Audi product built on the Golf chassis uses Haldex but says Quattro on the trunk lid anyway.
